Tomato ‘Lizziebell’ produces bumper crops of orange-skinned baby plum tomatoes with fabulous flavour and sweetness, delicious in salads, sauces and sandwiches. This early-fruiting cordon tomato has excellent disease resistance.

Sow indoors

February-April: Sow individually, in clean 9cm (3 1/2in) pots or module trays of firm, pre-watered compost and cover with 1cm (1/2in) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth, 18-21°C (65-70°F) and keep moist at all times.

Plant out

May: Grow on at 15°C (60°F) until late May. When established, plant into a patio pot 30cm (12in) in diameter or a grow bag, and leave in a cool, frost-free greenhouse or place in a sunny position outdoors when risk of frost has passed.

Tips

Water well and feed regularly with liquid fertiliser once fruits start to swell. Tie stems to a support as they grow and remove side shoots.
