Your plant arrives to you trained into tree-form which makes it extra attractive as an ornamental formal plant and at a height that makes it easy to harvest from.

Try to plant straight away but if this is not possible your standard-trained gooseberry plant will survive up to two or three days with its roots buried in some loose moist soil. Keep out of direct-sun.

Standard formed plants have been trained over several seasons to have a single clear stem and a formed head where the fruit is produced. Very different to the normal bush versions, these will add a striking focal point in the garden or plot. They look fantastic even without fruit on.
